The Scent Reminds

The rain poured and thunder rumbled last night. This Sunday morning the air is scented with a heavenly fragrance that provokes gratitude. The scent reminds me of the tender mercies of God.

The earth outside is saturated with provision that fell from the sky. The budding flowers and seedlings, more enthusiastic than ever. Bluebirds squawk gleefully at the lushness of the morning.

The scent reminds us that the rain has washed away impurities, cleansing the air so we can breathe in and look to the Artist of nature and pause as we are reminded of life’s beauty.

Mercy. Grace. Love. Life.

I would love to hear from you.
