I can say that I am continually grateful for the gorgeous backdrop the Nevada countryside provides for a perfect hike.
My long time friend, Lori, and I met early on this summer morning to set out on a hike in our beautiful state. Some may not realize just how breathtakingly beautiful Nevada is. It’s as serene as it is beautiful. There are countless trails of every kind in Nevada. Each uniquely awe inspiring. If you’re up for some deep and encouraging discussions with a dear friend, there is no better place to meet for such an occasion.
We chose the Fay Luther trail area that is located on the back road between Genoa, NV and Gardnerville, NV. Our day was clear and the temperature was perfect. Both of us love to hike and to smell the fresh scents that are so prevalent in nature. There is something so healing and nurturing about soaking in the beauty with the senses God has given to us.
There are some people who when you meet with them you know for sure you will be talking about God. Lori is one of those friends. I love this about her. She has deep faith and when I have spent time with her I feel strengthened in my own faith as her love for God just pours out.
Friends and hikes and Nevada go great together!
God’s goodness is boundless, and the enormity of nature that He has provided for our enjoyment is something that points to Him as Creator of all. I just can’t help but to praise Him and to think of Him when I am in the midst of His creation.
It amazes me how Nevada can be so uniquely beautiful in each season. It looks completely different from one to the next, yet there is a specific and sharp beauty that tells yet another story of God’s creativity. There is always something new around the bend to discover and explore. I love my glorious Nevada.
The Lord’s works are great, studied by all who delight in them. All that He does is splendid and majestic; His righteousness endures forever. Psalm 111:2,3
